Getting Over Depression at Work - Saving 50 of Productive Time Lost to Depression

I've learned so much along the way and thought I should share a bit of it here.

First - Giving people false hope causes depression. It might lift their spirits for a few hours but they fall back after you leave, harder and heavier than ever.

Second - Depression is a part of nature's arsenal of illness that are used to break the bonds between a persons delusional thinking (ego) and love for life. When people hold false hopes of the future instead of really healing the past, nature resolves it through depression.

Third - Anyone - predisposed or not to depression will become depressed if they feel they don't have a future. Lost hope that tomorrow will bring good fortune breeds depression. Even in the worst situations on earth, a person who believes the future will be better than the present will not become depressed.

Forth - If we don't work on something that gives us challenge, or at least feeds us money they can feed our future, we become depressed just at the acknowledgement that we exist for no real benefit. Even the Zen monk who believes it's all an illusion hopes that by knowing that, they become enlightened.

Five - For the average person - VIP is the best solution for depression.

V = Vision. A real, no fantasy, exciting and achievable vision of the future. (requires the complete certainty that comes from Inspiration....

I = Inspiration. Inspiration is when the inner voice speaks louder than the outer voices. This means that to be inspired you have to get past responding to your emotion (outer voices) - To achieve this, we go to stillness - meditation or such where we learn to let go hope, desire and ambition and just be. This is best done in nature with activity. Simply say "I want nothing, I need nothing and therefore I have everything."

P=Purpose. Until we connect to the divine purpose of our lives we are self serving no matter what we say or do. Even wanting world peace or doing yoga can be self serving (ego centric) if we do not have a purpose greater than self. Finding this divine reason for our lives is one of the key ingredients we need to put in place to find and live in harmony with nature. It is also an amazing anti dote for depression.

Depression and Your Toxic Relationship - 6 Signs They May Be Connected

Depression is a common issue for many people. Symptoms may include persistent feelings or hopelessness, sadness, anxiety or dread about the future, loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities, and changes in sleep and appetite. The causes are numerous, and may include such factors as grief, unresolved past trauma, current life challenges, and/or brain chemistry challenges. One factor, however, that is not always included is the impact of a toxic relationship upon the mental well being of the individual. Here are 6 signs that the depression symptoms you are experiencing may have a link to your relationship:

1. Your partner insults you, publicly and/or privately. These put downs may be blatant name calling, or more subtle criticism of how you do things, who you are as a person, or even criticism or mocking of your depression or mental state. You may be left to feel inferior, incompetent, and even crazy.

2. Your partner attempts to limit your interaction with outside friends and family. You partner may prohibit you from seeing certain people altogether, or may be more manipulative and make statements like, "I can't believe you would choose to go see so-and-so instead of spending time with me." This isolation serves an emotionally abusive partner in a couple of ways. It asserts his or her control over your life, and it also prevents you from hearing both positive messages about yourself, as well as criticisms of your partner. This allows your partner to continue to create your reality for you without outside "interference."

3. Your partner attempts to limit your work and educational opportunities. Again, control is established, as well as your dependence upon your partner.

4. Your partner tries to control your daily activities. You may feel as if you must report your day to your partner, and defend and justify your decisions about how you spent your time. It may even seem easier at times to simply choose to do activities that you know your partner will approve of.

5. Your partner uses sex as a weapon of control and manipulation. Your partner may demand that you meet his or her need for physical intimacy regardless of how you feel or what your desires are. Conversely, your partner may elect to deliberately withhold sex and affection form you in order to keep you feeling worthless and controlled, subject to his or her whim.

6. Your partner implies non-physical consequences for not complying with his or her demands. He or she may occasionally do something kind or generous for you, but rather than a sincere attempt to start treating you better, it is a tactic to draw you back into the relationship. Once you are safely back under control, the emotionally abusive behavior begins again.

Treatment For Depression - The All Natural Way

Have you been depressed for a long time or even just a few months and have been looking for a treatment for depression? Are you looking for a way to cure your depression without taking prescription drugs which can make you feel like your a walking zombie? Are you afraid of becoming addicted to the medication or maybe you just don't want to put up with the side-effects. What ever your reason you do have an alternative choice of treatment, though it will probably be a longer time to see results, I believe it's well worth the wait and the outcome lasts a lifetime. Also, you could lack essential vitamins and minerals and this could be leading to your depression. Minerals that have a huge influence on your mood are B-complex, magnesium, zinc and potassium. These all have a factor in your mood and over all well-being. Getting some routine blood work done at your doctors can tell you if you are low in any of these.

How to Stop Cutting Yourself - Put an End to the Absurd Tendency of Self-Abuse Today

I have already given you many lessons about the meaning of self-abuse and how you can stop cutting and burning your own body. If you have never read one of my articles about this matter, or if you have read only a few of them, here is your chance to learn everything in a summary.

1. Why do you have the absurd tendency to harm your own body?

Because you are dominated by the wild side of your brain, which is an animal that can think but cannot feel anything. This is the anti-conscience, your primitive conscience, and it lives constantly trying to destroy your human conscience in order to take your place (you are the center of the human conscience, and you are strongly influenced by your ego).

The anti-conscience wants to destroy you and completely control your behavior. It uses craziness and despair in order to do that.

It sends you absurd ideas and strange feelings, sensations and intuition. Following them, you get imprisoned in the labyrinth of craziness. In the end you'll commit suicide, but this is something that you cannot see now. This is a trap.

2. Why can't you stop cutting and burning, even though you have tried to?

Because the anti-conscience is too strong and it doesn't let you stop. It has a great deal of energy and it obliges you to repeat the movements it wants you to.

3. Why is the anti-conscience so absurd?

Because it was formed without any organization. It didn't learn the meaning of goodness, patience, piety, comprehension and forgiveness, being this way unable to find peace and happiness in life. It became schizophrenic, revolted with everything, and due to a mechanism of self-defense against pain, developed absurd feelings of pleasure with terror, violence and immorality.

The anti-conscience is totally insensitive: it cannot feel anything because its nerves are totally broken, after so many deceptions. Therefore, it is like a machine that doesn't have a heart. This is why it is so cruel.

4. How can I prove to you that my statement is true and this is not my invention?

I can prove that everything I'm telling you is a scientific discovery, thanks to the continuation of the research begun by Carl Jung at the end of the last century. He investigated the unknown content of the human psyche through dream interpretation. Following his steps and his methods, I discovered the anti-conscience, while he believed that this part belonged to the unconscious mind that produces our dreams. I discovered that the unconscious mind is wise and saintly, while the anti-conscience is demonic.

If you cannot believe that you have a primitive side that is a true demon, think about strange cases of maniac murderers that kill their victims systematically, following rituals. Think about cases where the person doesn't remember that during the night they are murderers, while during the day they have a normal life. Think about multiple personalities and the existence of serious mental illnesses. How could you explain these phenomena?

You may need more information, but you should not expect to receive it in only one article. I'm giving you here only general knowledge about a huge topic.

5. How can you stop cutting and burning your body today?

a) Going immediately to a hospital and staying there until you get rid of this absurd tendency.

b) Offering resistance and fighting against the domination of the anti-conscience by never again doing what it wants, even though in the beginning you are going to suffer very much. You must not let this monster take your place - resist, no matter what.

Don't harm your own body again, never again, and you'll see that after a certain period of time during which you'll feel horribly, the strong tendency will become weaker and weaker, until it will disappear.

This is guaranteed, because the absurd tendency is provoked by the anti-conscience that gains power as you do what it wants. This is how it manages to dominate you. If you don't do what it obliges you to, it will have no way to control your behavior.

It is very strong though, and it forces you to do what will destroy you. You must resist, as you would resist if you were fighting against your worst enemy. This is the truth: you really are fighting against your worst enemy, but you cannot see him, because the anti-conscience is inside you and it is part of you. This is the big irony: since it is inside you and it is part of you, you believe that it "is" you.

However, this is only your primitive self, a part of your brain that you ignore, and that could characterize you only before you acquired your humanity, since you are the center of the human side of your conscience, that has human feelings. You are the part of your brain that has evolved and acquired human sensitivity.

You are a human being, and you have to fight against a demon. This is the true image of what you have to do if you want to get rid of the absurd tendency of self-abuse before it kills you definitively.

During this fight, write down your dreams everyday and translate them with my method, which is derived from Jung's method, and you'll be guided by the wise and saintly unconscious mind until you find peace and happiness in life.

Once you are back under control, the emotional abuse begins again.

6. Your partner uses sex as a tool of control, manipulation, or domination. This may manifest as a demand for sex regardless of your wants and preferences, or it may be enacted in the opposite way, where sex is deliberately withheld from you in order to demoralize you and leave you feel vulnerable.

Encouraging Positivity to Ward Off Teen Depression

Teenagers can quite be vulnerable. After all, they're in a stage when peer pressure is influential. They tend to be idealistic, expecting perfection from themselves, from others and the world. They may feel like they have to keep up with so many rules and standards. Until they may fail to keep up, and this could lead to frustration, and eventually teen depression. It is an awkward stage indeed- the teenage years. It is a transition period, and oftentimes a teenager could be at a loss. One primary issue is the search for identity. Such is crucial and this can be a struggle.

Emotional hang-ups are often a major concern among teenagers. And this would be where parents come in. What are parents for but to guide and protect and not only to provide. Parents serve as role models to their children, and this is a very significant responsibility. It's often not what parents preach that teenagers follow, but what parents do, and what they are. In the teenage years, one might be taken aback by problems and issues of adolescence. These can lead to teen depression. Teenagers are in that stage when they are molding themselves and their attitude. It doesn't come so easy until one is able to define themselves.

It is in fact a trial and error method, hit and miss. Problems can crop up in the whole process and there is the inevitability of emotional growing pains.
